The Australian Pavilion at COP30 will be a place for connection, collaboration and engaging conversations. This is Australia’s space – and we invite you to submit proposals for events and activities that will help animate the 10-day calendar. This submission window closes on Wednesday 6th August.
The Australian Pavilion at COP30 will showcase transformative opportunities for global climate collaboration to deliver the net zero transition, strengthen climate resilience, mobilise climate finance and contribute to measurable environmental outcomes.
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) invites expressions of interest that demonstrate innovative climate collaboration across diverse stakeholder communities. We particularly welcome proposals that foster collaboration with the Pacific and elevate First Nations knowledges, leadership and perspectives.
Events in the Australian Pavilion should speak to one or more of the following key themes:
- Delivering the energy transition
- Building resilience and reducing risk
- Unlocking finance and investment
- Protecting our ocean and lands
- Inclusion in climate action
- Partnering to achieve the Paris Agreement goals
Each event proposal will require its own form submission. Organisations are encouraged to coordinate their proposals through one key contact person. Before you submit a proposal, it is important to note the following:
- Event slots are for one hour and take place between 9am-5pm.
- Australian speakers for events approved for the Australian Pavilion will be preferenced for Party Overflow Badges where they meet all other criteria.
- If you wish to host a networking event, the Pavilion team will assist with catering arrangement, However, catering must be provided and is at your own expense, and any formalities should be limited to no more than 20 minutes.
- Panel events with gender diversity will have preference in the selection process.
- Events may be subject to last minute changes and cancellation due to COP30 requirements outside of our control. The Australian Government holds no responsibility should this occur. People/organisations should plan for additional engagement at COP30 beyond simply holding an event at the Australian Pavilion.
