Australia will be President of Negotiations for COP31

At COP30, we reached an agreement for COP31 to be hosted by Türkiye in Antalya, with Australia to lead negotiations and, together with our Pacific family, advance the Pacific’s interests.

Australia will be President of Negotiations for COP31. This involves presiding over the COP31 negotiations at the summit, and will give Australia exclusive authority in driving global climate negotiations.

The Pacific will host the ‘Pre-COP’ meeting, giving the world an opportunity to see Pacific climate impacts and solutions firsthand.

Management of the Engagement Hub has transferred to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
