Applications open: New ways to get involved in COP31

As Australia prepares to play a leadership role in COP31, including as President of Negotiations, we're opening three key opportunities for you to get involved.

COP is the world's most important climate summit, bringing together governments, businesses, communities and civil society to accelerate action on climate change. COP31 marks a significant opportunity for Australia as we partner with Türkiye and the Pacific to deliver this global event.

Taking place in Antalya, Türkiye, from 9–20 November 2026, COP31 will demonstrate how countries can work together to tackle a global challenge that requires collective action.

As President of COP31, Australia will play a central role in guiding negotiations, driving ambition and helping to shape practical outcomes that accelerate implementation of the Paris Agreement.

This is an opportunity for Australia to showcase our innovation, clean energy progress, expertise and leadership on the world stage – and for Australians to help shape our contribution.

These three opportunities provide practical ways to be part of Australia's COP31 effort. Whether you want to help shape what we showcase, join the community of Australians on the ground in Antalya, or apply for support to attend, there is a pathway for you to get involved.
